Best for Small Carvings – Flexcut Palm and Knife Set
Looking to do some small and more intricate carvings? Well this may be the right kit for you!
The Flexcut Palm and Knife set is a wonderful addition to any carvers toolbox as it gives you a small but varied selection of tools to use that you won’t find in any other kit. Well, at least any other good kit at this price that is. It comes with two palm tools (gouge and v-gouge) as well as two knives (cutting and detail). However, if you want a leather strop to keep your tools honed sharp or a place to store them, you will have to pay extra.

Best for the Budget – BeaverCraft Wood Carving Set
Many of you are trying to find some good tools but don’t want to spend too much, that’s where BeaverCraft comes in!
If this kit looks familiar, its because all of those cheap knockoff kits you see literally everywhere copied this set right here. This is the OG, this is the one that started them all.
What you won’t get is a fancy tool set, but what you will get is an effective wood and spoon carving set that will last, comes in razor sharp, has all you need but gloves and wood, and is affordable to boot!
Whatever you do, don’t go cheaper than this BeaverCraft set.
