There are a lot of wood burning kits on Amazon, and 99.9% of them are absolute junk

Best for the Budget – YIHUA 939 Kit
I know some of you are on a budget and the HAWK kit is out of your price range, so there is a cheaper option that will get you by if you just want to see if this hobby is for you.
This is absolutely a Knockoff brand, but it actually does the job well enough. Would I use this long term? Probably not, but its absolutely good enough to try your hand at wood burning to see if it’s something you are interested in becoming more proficient in. Absolutly Necissary – Smoke Extractor
Lets face it, wood burning burns wood and produces smoke! If you are doing this indoors, you will need a smoke absorber. You don’t need to have a $300 fume extractor like I use for my laser cutter, but this cheap one from Kotto will get the job done for small pyrography projects.
